Mark is CEO of RTS Group, where his role is to help guide the direction of the business, working with our clients to deliver into automotive an ever growing and improving product range, as well as look at new areas of business which are aligned, and relevant.
Mark began his career in consumer magazines – his first job was on a Nintendo magazine and he simultaneously produced the official magazines for Arsenal and Liverpool football clubs – before moving into digital media. He helped launched the UK arm of a retail price comparison site, which was bought by eBay; he then went on to turn a small online shopping portal business listed on AIM into an organisation with a £40m-£50m turnover. He then helped a tech start-up to expand ready for sale. Before joining RTS, Mark was taking a career break, and he is a non-exec of several businesses.
A father of four, in his spare time Mark enjoys going to the gym – he’s there five or six times a week – the Saturday park runs, and cooking (he’s already brought his home bakes into the office). He is also chairman of Downton FC, a non-league football club near Salisbury – Mark also gets dragged into occasional goalkeeping coaching. He describes himself as ‘resilient’ – with the football, gym, four children and three dogs, it’s just as well.
